Brain Injury Florida Joins James A. Haley Veterans’ Hospital Brain Injury Resource Fair

On March 5, 2025, Brain Injury Florida had the privilege of attending the Brain Injury Resource Fair at James A. Haley Veterans’ Hospital in Tampa. This event provided a valuable opportunity to connect with individuals who have lived experience with brain injury, as well as the dedicated healthcare professionals and community organizations who support them. Advancing Support and Awareness for Brain Injury Survivors The Florida Statewide Brain Injury Advisory Board, established through a grant from the Administration for Community Living, continues its critical work in shaping policy and resources for brain injury survivors. Brain Injury Florida (BIF) is deeply saddened to announce the unexpected passing of our corporate Secretary, Board member and friend, Jim Gyurke. Dr. Gyurke, a developmental psychologist and astute businessman, had served on the BIF Board since incorporation in August, 2022.
